Pandora C. Powell
Pandora Penny C. Powell, 69, of Marinette passed away on Thursday, May 30 at home after a courageous 16 year battle with cancer.
Born on Aug. 30, 1943 to the late Eugene and Pearl (Betzinger) Ravet in Menominee, she attended Marinette High School and had worked a few years at Emmerson Electric before her marriage.
On Oct. 27, 1962 she married William Powell, sr. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette. He preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2007. She also worked at the Holiday Inn/ Best Western for 15 years and did home Daycare for several years. A member of Holy Family Parish, she loved spending time with her family and pets and enjoyed Elvis memorabilia, dolls and other collectables.
She is survived by three sons, William (Kimberly) Powell, jr. of Cornell, Mi. and David (Barb) Powell and Richard Powell, both of Marinette; a daughter-in-law, Teri Schmidt of Marinette; two brothers, Michael (Jean) Ravet of Wausaukee and Patrick Ravet of Peshtigo; two sisters-in-law, Carol Ravet and Lois Powell, both of Marinette; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; an aunt, Carol (Maurice) Johnson of Menominee and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends called on Sunday, June 2 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral services at 3 p.m. at Thielen Funeral Home. Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiated and entombment was in Forest Home Mausoleum.
