No services were held for Marvin Mupsy: Eschner, 91, of Gillett. Gallagher Funeral Home of Oconto assisted the family. He passed away Sunday, June 2 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls.
Born Nov. 3, 1921 in Gillett to the late Benand Anna (Leschke) Eschner, he married Rose Mar Rodich on March 1, 1948. She preceded him death on Sept. 13, 1988.
He served in the Merchant Marines and was discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked for the University of Illinois Chicago, the physical plant as a stationary engineer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs. He was a member of the Gillett American Legion Post #300.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (David) Room of Skokie, Ill.; a son, Robert Allen Eschner of Valparaiso, Ind.; a sister, Bernadine (Ken) Kappes of Arizona; a sister-in-law, Delores Eschner of Sheboygan Falls; two grandchildren and longtime companion and friend, Dorothy Luebke of Oconto Falls.
Along with his parents and his wife, Rose, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janine Eschner and two sisters, Orabelle Baldwin and Carol Jean Corcoran.
