Jane L. Schmidt
Jane L. Schmidt, 76, passed away on Monday, June 10 at Rennes Health Center-East, Peshtigo where she was a resident.
Born on April 21, 1937, daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Mans) Haynes, she married Donald H. Schmidt on Jan. 21, 1956 at St. James Church in Marinette. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2002.
She was a former member of St. James Lutheran Church, former Sunday School teacher for many years and loved each and every one of the children she taught. She also worked at the former Marinette County Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Scott A. (Suzette) Schmidt and Timothy P. (Judy) Schmidt; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie (Daniel) Diercks and Joanne (William) Dehne and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Renton.
Besides her parents and husband,Donald, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Schmidt; two sisters, Janice Kortbien and Judy Krohn; two brothers, Dennis Haynes and Jerry Haynes and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Renton.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13 at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home, Peshtigo from 11 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 12 noon. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
