Mary H. Parthie, 79, of Marinette passed away Friday, June 21 at Rennes Health Center-West, Peshtigo.
Born on June 4, 1934 in Menominee to the late William and Amanda Ruth (Stecko) Harper, she attended Marinette High School and then graduated from the Indiana College of Cosmetology.
After graduating she owned a hair salon in Indiana for several years and then moved to Marinette in 1971. She worked for several years as a beautician with Orrie Kotecki and then for many years at Ansul until her retirement. On Dec. 8, 1951 she married Carl Parthie in Sturgeon Bay. He died in October of 2001. She was a member of the Marinette Moose Lodge and the Menominee Elks. She enjoyed golfing and having lunch with the ladies from Ansul.
She is survived by a son, Tim (Linda) Parthie of Marinette; a sister, Margie (Mark) Stuppnig of Marinette; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends called at Thielen Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 25 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Rev. Scott Ehle officiated and burial was in Forest Home Cemetery.
