Borske Puts On Shooting Clinic At Peshtigo Gun Club

The top shooter at the Peshtigo Gun Club this past week had to be Ed Borske, who connected on rounds of 75 straight targets then found the mark on 50 more.

Other perfect rounds were compiled by Dave Wittkopf (50 straight) and 24, Darin Williams 25-25-plus five 24 's, John Turner 25-25-24-24, Ron Banach 25 and five 24 's, Corby Jardanowski 25-24-24-24, Eric VanHulle and Steve Bland 25-24, Tom Davis and Jay Borths 25 's.

Also Chris Warrington with 5 rounds of 24, Jon Nelson 24-24-24-24, Brian Maedke 24-24 and shooting single 24 's Eric Thoune, Brock Yenor, Steve Brissette, Paul Sadowski and Terry Mooney.

High squad was John Turner, Chris Warrington, Jon Nelson, Corby Jardanowski and Ed Borske with a score of 121/125.

Top averages belong to Dave Wittkopf 23.90, Mike VanDyck 23.67, Jim Sullivan 23.62, Ron Banach 23.50, Paul Kayser and Dave Seymour 23.45, Dan Seymour 23.40, Darin Williams 23.33, Chris Warrington 23.13 and Brock Yenor 23.09.

League standings find Nelson Freight II and Northwood Flooring tied at 6-2, Marinette Farm & Garden 5-3, Crivello 's, Nelson Freight I, Mike & Jeans I, Thoune Heating & Cooling, D. L. Welding Consultants, Durow and Nelson Freight III 4-4, Truck Country 3-5, Mike & Jeans II 0-8.

Winners of the Iron Man shoot were Class A Ron Banach 280/300, Darin Williams 277/300, Class B John Turner 258/300, Eric VanHulle 255/300, Class C Jon Nelson 251/300, and Tom Davis 250/300.

The club will be hosting an Independence Day shoot on Thursday, July 4 from 10am till 2pm with the last squad out by 2pm. The event features a $10 Lewis shoot with a 3 class 60/40 payout, an optional $3 high gun and is open to members and the public.

Located on Pheasant Farm Road, just off County RW, the club is open to public and members every Wednesday evening from 5pm-10pm and Sunday from 10am-2pm.

Lake Noquebay Results

Darryl Zernia of Inlet Electric connected on a round of 25 to pace the shooting at the Lake Noquebay Sportsman’s Club. Scores of 24 were shot by Brian Brojanic, Mike Danen, Rich Greason, Mac McAllister and Mike Waugus.

Sandy Waugus posted an 18 for Brian’s Car Care to pace the female shooters.

The Krabbe 5 remains in first place while Heritage Inn set the pace with a team total of 113 last week.

The trap range is open every Sunday from 10am-2pm and Monday 5pm-10pm.

Menominee Trap Results

Summer trap shooting results from the Menominee Woods and Stream Sportsman 's Club Week during June 18-20 saw high individual scores posted by Paul Korn (25, 24, 23, 23); Scott Barnes and Jim Stenzel (25, 24, 23); Tom Sadowske, Tom Volk and Mike Tracy (25, 24); Jon Nelson (25, 23); Dave Seymour (25).

Also Steve Schabo and Don Kakuk (24, 23, 23); Roland Becker, Mike Carroll, Marv Fernstrum, Tim Chaltry and John Gump (24, 23); John Turner, Gary Smith, Charlie Nagler, Joe Pairon, Loren Rose, Aaron Nolde, Carl Muffler and Jeff Brofka (24); Nico Fulsom and Jeff Balthazor (23, 23); Jay Anderson, Nate Koenig, Dan Bayee, Dale Welch, Wayne Grinsteiner, Mac McAllister, Jim LaCanne, Al Nerat and John Seymour (23).

Winsert outshot Roadhouse I 121-117, Little Digger Construction defeated ABS 120-114, Wild Rivers Forestry beat Van 's IGA in a 6th-man tiebreaker 119/142-119/140, Kakuk 's outlasted Superior Landscaping 118/140-118/139 in another 6th-man tiebreaker, Team Redneck defeated Roadhouse II 118-116, Barker 's Ridge defeated Pellets & Pigeons 119-115, and Angeli 's beat Sharpe Shooters 119-115.

Mac McAllister leads Men 's High Gun with a total of 168 and a 24.00 average, followed by Dale Welch and Loren Rose (167 totals and 23.86 averages), Jim Stenzel, Ken Kline and Paul Korn (166 totals, 23.71 averages).

Libby Gignac still leads Ladies ' High Gun (157 total, 22.43 average), followed by Pat Barker (149 total, 21.29 average), Mary Chevalier (147 total, 21.00 average), Heather Juckem (130 and 18.57), and Kelly Johnsen (119 and 17.00).

High Squad for the week was shot by John Turner (24), Jon Nelson (25), Paul Korn (25), Roland Becker (23) and Tom Sadowske (21) for a total score of 118.

Leaders in the 14-team circuit after 7 weeks are Wild Rivers Forestry 7-0-0, Kakuk 's 5-1-1 while four teams sport 5-2-0 readouts...Angeli’s, Barker Ridge, Van’s IGA and Winsert.

The club will hold its annual Picnic and Trap Shoot on Saturday, June 29 from 11am-6pm. There will be a pot luck lunch free to all club members (please bring a small side dish or dessert to pass) and the 50-Bird Lewis and 5-Bird Meat Shoot open to all comers.

Both league and open shooting is available on Tuesday mornings from 11am-2pm as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm-9pm.. The trap range is open to all area shotgunners, whether to shoot in the league or only an occasional night just for fun. To join in the fun just come out to the club on any Tuesday morning or Tuesday and Thursday evening at N3675 County Road 577, about 10 miles north of Menominee.
