A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., Green Bay with Rev. John H. Harper officiating, for Duane C. Huss, 79, of Ashwaubenon.
Friends called at the church on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until time of the Mass. Burial was in Crivitz Memorial Cemetery. Blaney Funeral Home, Green Bay assisted the family. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 29 at his home.
Born April 2, 1943 in Menominee to Clifford and Agnes (Pozniak) Huss, he married the former Helen Seeburger on June 25, 1955 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Crivitz.
He was employed at Midwest Breeders and later at Fort Howard Paper Co., retiring in 1996. He enjoyed watching his childrens and grandchildrens sporting events, family camping trips and was an avid Packers fan. Until his health would not allow him, he enjoyed bow and gun hunting up north.
His wife, Helen survives, along with six children, Doug (Steve Pretz) Huss, Karen (Jeff) Jordan, Cheri Slusarek, Sandy (Robert) Selner, Dave (Jeanne) Huss, Dean (Laurie) Huss and Tina (Yves) Dumoulin; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Harvey (Sandy) Huss and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Barb Huss.
