Largest Crowd Ever At Carvious Marinette Co. Breakfast On Farm
The annual Marinette County Breakfast on the Farm was held Sunday, June 30 from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Mark and Dawn Carviou Farm, at W3201 Hwy. G, Porterfield. The breakfast attracted 4800 guests, the largest crowd ever.
Served were 228 gallons of ice cream, 490 gallons milk, 183 boxes of pancake mix, 1400 pounds of eggs, 950 pounds of sausage, 33 gallons of maple syrup, 100 pounds of ham, 750 pounds of cheese, and 300 pounds of cheese curds.
The day included a petting zoo and baby animal area, kiddie tractor pull, face painting, pony rides, bouncy area for kids, kids games, self-touring of the farmstead, dozens of displays and exhibits, and a live band. One of the attractions was a calf born the morning of the breakfast.
Some of the comments of breakfast goers were, very well done, excellent, and cant wait until next year.
The 2014 Breakfast on the Farm is tentatively set for June 29.
