Larry L. Lewins
Larry "Harry" L. Lewins, 69, of Ashwaubenon died Monday, July 1.
Born Aug. 5, 1943 to the late Henry and Irene (Heraly) Lewins in Green Bay, he served in the United States Navy for four years.
On April 9, 1983 he married Karen Walton in Green Bay. He worked as a retreader for Firestone and Pomp's Tire for many years. He enjoyed fixing old cars, gardening and going to the cabin in the Town of Beaver. He will be remembered for his cooking and having everyone over for his homemade chili and hot dill pickles. He cherished the time he spent playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; a son, Jay (Christelle) Walton of France; a daughter, Melissa (Joe) Mier of Oconto Falls; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Irvin and Leonard Lewins; three sisters, Loretta (James) Konitzer, Lee Baenen and Laverne (Jerry) Williquette.
Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers; a sister; a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 5 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Green Bay from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating. Military honors followed and interment was at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
