22 Attend Even Monday Cards
Twenty-two members gathered for the Even Monday Card Party on July 8 at the Stephenson Town Hall. A light lunch was provided by Barb Dunlap, Betty Rogalski, Barb Kalke, Carol Jarosz, John Twardowski, Betty Nowak, Carol Jackson, Winnie DeWitt and Darlene Lucht.
The door prize was won by Len Jarosz. A short business meeting was conducted and it was announced Barb and Jim Dunlap celebrated their 19 year anniversary in June and Carol and Frank Jackson are celebrating their 66th anniversary this month.
The Christmas in July pot-luck luncheon is July 22. Those attending are to bring a white elephant (gag) gift to exchange.
Bob Brown spoke to the group about the reorganization of the Crivitz Area Sister City group, which plans to host guests from Germany in September 2014. The group is looking for interested people to attend the July 22 meeting at the Crivitz Village Hall at 6:30 pm. Needed are ideas on activities and trips to offer visitors and fundraising ideas and host accommodations.
Sheepshead winner was Gene Badtke, Thirty-one was won by Carol Jackson and Bridge winnere were Sue Collins, Helen Kish and Bob Brown.
The next card party is Monday, July 22th at the Stephenson Town Hall. Doors open at 11:30 a.m and Pot-luck refreshments will be served. A $1 donation is requested to cover expenses. Newcomers are welcome. Individuals may join already formed games or bring own group. New players for Sheepshead, 31 and bridge are urgently needed. Summer residents are welcome.
