THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
A remembrance gathering was held at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home, Marinette, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, for Roy Ewing Dessart, 52, of Marinette. Interment will take place in Neenah at a later date. He passed away on Monday, July 8 due to a heart attack.
He attended Menominee High School and in his free time enjoyed playing games and visiting friends and family on Facebook. He spent most of his career working as a cook at many area restaurants.
Surviving are six stepchildren, Dawn Suennen, Julie Knoblich, Jenny Fronsee, Donald Knoblich, Jason Hoida and David Knoblich; brothers, Lenard and Larry and special friend, Kathy, Randy and Lori Dessart; sisters, Kathy, special friend, John, Tracy and Joe Everson and many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
