Silver Cliff 36th Annual Fundraiser Picnic Aug. 10
The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary will host their 36th annual fund raising picnic on Saturday, Aug. 10th, at the Memorial picnic grounds, located 25 miles northwest of Crivitz at County C and County I, formerly Parkway Road North.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Cty C and Boat Landing 11 Rd at Silver Cliff Camp and conclude at the picnic grounds. Anyone interested in entering a unit for the parade, contact Paul Farley at 715-757-3922. The park is ATV accessible and there is a designated area for parking.
The picnic is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A drawing for the all cash raffle will be held at 6 p.m. and winners need not be present. Tickets may be purchased from area merchants and Auxiliary members. The cash prizes are: $1,000, $600, $500, $400, $300, and $200.
The food booth will sell burgers, brats, and Italian sausage, and fries. Chicken booyah will be available, and the snack shack will offer funnel cakes, fruit cups, nachos, popcorn and ice cream. Refreshments will also be for sale.
There will be music, adult games which will include the paddle wheel, cards, horseshoes, 50/50 raffle and more. There will also be a variety of games for children as well as face painting. Betty's Country Store will feature home baked and canned goodies as well as crafts. Anyone interested in donating items, contact Sandy DeGoey at 715-757-2077 or Sue Vandenberg at 715-757-2864 or bring priced items to the Country Store the day of the picnic. Shirts "N" Things will again sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, can coolers, and vehicle decals.
The fire department and rescue squad will have their trucks and equipment on display and squad members will do blood pressure checks. The fire department will also feature water fights starting at 1 pm. and also will be a water competition for children.
Picnic proceeds provide financial support to the Silver Cliff Fire Department and the Silver Cliff Rescue Squad. The public is welcome.
