Coleman Firemens Parade, Picnic July 19-20 Big Success
The streets of Coleman were lined with spectators on Saturday, July 20 for the Coleman Firemans Parade and Picnic. Theme was Christmas in July. Plaques were awarded after the parade for agriculture, business, club/organization, church, horses, humor and semi (tractor/trailer). Rosie Nowak was parade chairperson.
Coleman Area Volunteer Fire Department held their 18th annual picnic Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20. On Friday was DJ Music Match 54 played from 7 to 11 p.m. and on Saturday Musical Brass performed from 1 to 5 p.m. followed by Daze 2 Nights from 7 to 11 p.m.
Other events included mens softball, co-ed volleyball and doubles horseshoes. Children ages 2-14 signed up to win free bicycles and raffle drawings were held at 9 p.m. at the Coleman Ball Park.
