MI Fire Dept. Picnic, Open House on Aug. 17
The Middle Inlet Volunteer Fire Department 13th annual fundraising picnic and open house is Saturday, Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The picnic will take place at the Fire House, on Cty. X and Highway 141. Youngsters will have kids games and waterball contests, as well as face painting. Adults will enjoy raffles and the paddle whee which will include slabs of bacon and baskets of booze. Music will be provided throughout the day. The Fireman's Waterball Contest will begin at 1 p.m.
Raffle tickets are $1 each or 7 for $5. Winner need not be present. Tickets are available from any firefighter.
The food booth will sell brats, burger, hot dogs, homeade French fries, funnel cakes and chicken booyah. Refreshments will include beer, soda, wine coolers, and bottled water. A Bake Sale is also planned and area women are urged to bring baked goods.
The picnic which is the only fundraiser for the year provides financial support to the Middle Inlet Fire Department. This is the only fundraiser we hold for the year. Members of the department thank members and volunteers past and present assisting at the picnic for making it a success.
