THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Elizabeth Betty Gagnon, 82, of Wausaukee, formerly of Kewaunee, passed away Sunday, July 28.
Born on Jan. 15, 1931 in Austin, Minn., she was the daughter of the late David and Lulu (Woods) Solchenberger. She was married on Aug. 18, 1984 to Leon Gagnon at her home in Kewaunee.
Survivors include her children, David (Mary Jo) Stich of Denmark, Dinah (Charles) Delsart of Middle Inlet and Sandra Santini of Chicago; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene E. Daul and Patricia Simonar; a special aunt, Louise Springgate and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Gagnon; a brother, David Solchenberger; a sister, Edith Grignon and two brothers-in-law, Myron Daul and Ronald Simonar.
Memorial services will take place on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. at Knollwood Memorial Park, 1500 State Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto is assisting the family with arrangements.
