Henry H. Westberg
Henry Hank H. Westberg, 84, of Pound passed away after a brief illness Wednesday, July 31 at his home with family at his side.
Born to the late Axel, sr. and Theresa (Beetsma) Westberg April 2, 1929 in Chicago, he served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1952.
He married Carol Pilon Feb. 12, 1955 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Niagara and worked as a cabinet maker for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Carol; three sons, Joseph (Mary) Westberg of Peshtigo, Ken Westberg of Coleman and Dean Westberg of Pound; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Ronald (Kathleen) Westberg of Minnesota and a sister, Katherine Keenen of California.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Ruby and Viola Christensen; a brother, Bror Al Axel Westberg, jr. and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Westberg.
Relatives and friends called at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home Saturday, Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Pastor Nick Johannes officiated with military rites conducted by the Coleman American Legion. He was placed to rest at Amberg Cemetery.
