THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Ride For Rescue Is a Huge Success
Issue Date: August 8, 2013
Ride for Rescue Coordinators Todd and Barb Tobison, Jeff Swanson and the members of Crivitz Rescue Squad would like to say thank you to all the sponsors, donors and participants of the fourth annual Ride for Rescue. The 100 plus motorcycle ride through the north woods of Wisconsin on July 27thwas the largest so far. Though the weather was a bit cooler than one would expect in July, it proved to be a beautiful day. The trip took the winding roads of Marinette and Oconto counties by storm with the roar of 75 bikes and 112 riders. The trip began and ended at Riverside Tavern in Crivitz. There were stops made at Rapid 's Resort, Wild Rose Pub and The School House. On return to Riverside, the riders were treated to a hot lunch, music by DJ Jake Scriven 's, and prize drawings.
Ride for Rescue proceeds are donated to the Crivitz Rescue Squad for equipment purchases. The next ride will be the last Saturday of July 2014. The 2014 ride will be planned to take you in a whole new direction, somewhere we have never gone before. Keep an eye on the Crivitz Rescue Squad website and/or Facebook page for updates.
