5th Annual CASA Golf Scramble Slated For August 24
It will be a day of fun for a good cause at North Shore Golf Club in Menominee on Saturday, August 24 as the Menominee chapter of CASA, or court appointed special advocates, will host their 5th annual Golf Scramble. There will be a silent auction, door prizes and raffles and there will also be flag events on various holes around the scenic course across from the Bay.
CASA of Menominee County recruits, screens, trains, monitors and supports volunteers who advocate for the children who come before the Menominee County Family Court due to allegations of abuse or neglect. A total of 35 CASA volunteers have been trained since December 2004. These volunteers have advocated for 158 children. In order to continue serving all eligible children, the group must train additional volunteers, maintain the current volunteer base and continue to provide quality volunteer monitoring and case management. Community support makes this happen. CASA is grateful for any and all support.
