Luella E. Bedwell
Luella E. Bedwell, 92, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born on Nov. 2, 1920 to Martin and Frances (Seiler) Armbrust in Wheaton, Ill., they later moved to Menominee where she graduated from Menominee High School in 1938. She married Alfred G. Bedwell Sr. Dec. 1, 1945 at St. Mary's Church in Peshtigo and he preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1998.
A member of Holy Family Parish, she loved her family and spending time with them, and also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and for the past 15 years enjoyed the community at Ludington Apartments.
She is survived by three sons, Alfred (Lydia) Bedwell jr. of Porterfield, Stephen Bedwell sr. and Thomas (Jill) Bedwell, all of Peshtigo; two daughters, Sandra (John) Davis and Susan (John) Bournonville, both of Menominee; two sisters, Agnes Parnis of Green Bay and Angeline Lackey of Calumet, Mi; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, Alfred, she was preceded in death by her parents, Martin & Francis; a daughter Mary; seven sisters and four brothers.
Family and friends called at Thielen Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A mass followed at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church Taylor Street with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiatiating. Entombment was in Forest Home Mausoleum.
