Eugene W. LaCombe
Eugene W. LaCombe, 67, of Porterfield passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born on Oct. 16, 1945 to Harold and Anita (Steinbrecher) LaCombe in Menominee, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1963 and farmed in Porterfield since he was 18 years old. He married Susan Brissette on Oct. 14, 1967 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Walsh.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family, collected antique tractors and enjoyed golfing in his spare time. In addition to running the farm, he owned and operated Marinette Farm and Garden for 15 years and worked at Westlund Bus Line for 35 years. He was a Town of Porterfield Supervisor for many years and was currently Chairman.
He is survived by two sons, Michael (Gina) LaCombe and Jon Nick (Rae) LaCombe, both of Marinette; three daughters, Michelle (Donald) Weijola of Woodstock, Ill., Angela (Robert) LaCrosse of Green Bay and Renee LaCombe of Marinette; two brothers, Rodney (Peggy) LaCombe of Crivitz and Adrian (Shelley) LaCombe of Marinette; two grandchildren and special family friend Keith Franks of Marinette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Anita.
Friends called at SS. Joseph & Edward Parish on Friday Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon, with Rev. William Stengel officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family.
