Susan M. (Maginn) DuBord died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in Grafton. She was born Nov. 7, 1946 in Goodman to the late Dr. Richard and Vivianne Maginn, and graduated from Niagara High School. She later received her R.N. degree from UW-Milwaukee and worked at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. David DuBord of Grafton; a daughter, Renee (Tyrome) Brown of Mountain View, Ca.; two sons, Paul (Kim) DuBord of Glencoe, Ill., and John (Kelly) DuBord of Grafton; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Patrick (Cheryl) Maginn of Kelso, Wash.; two sisters, Peg M. Maginn of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Mary (Mike) Lewis of Iron Mountain, Mich..
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Michael ("Mike") Maginn, and Richard D. ("Dick") Maginn.
There was no burial. A private memorial service was held in Grafton. Born Aug. 26, 1928, in Lena, the daughter of the late Herbert and Verna (Bonnes) Pies, she grew up in Lena and graduated from Lena High School. She married Julius Glime on Oct. 9, 1947, in Lena and shortly after, the couple moved to Florence where they resided until moving to Fence in 1998.
She enjoyed playing smear, baking, swimming, carpentry work and even drove a logging truck in the early 60s, but her most treasured times were spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Julius; four sons, Mike (Jacqie) Glime of Florence, Pat (Sue) Glime of Aurora, Bill Glime of Kingsford and Jim Panek of Chico, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolla Jarvey.
Private family visitation and services were held with burial in the Fence Cemetery. Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home of Florence served the family.
