James M. Schwerzler
James M. Hinkle Schwerzler, 78, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 27th at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo.
Born May 25, 1935 in Marinette to Michael and Minnie (Nelson) Schwerzler,
he resided there for most of his life and enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War.
In his earlier years he worked for the former Lloyd Manufacturing Co. and was later employed by Rodman Industries for 35 years. He married the former, Meta Miller on May 18, 1968. He was an avid Packer fan, had a great sense of humor, a comical nature and was never a person to complain. The couple enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Meta; two daughters, Michelle Ferm and Teresa Ryan, both of Marinette; two grandchildren; a former son-in-law, Eric Ryan; a a brother, Michael Schwerzler; three sisters, Lois Niemojuski, Marjorie (Warren Toby) Gamelin and Joanne Galineau and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Minnie and a sister, Barbara Corey.
Friends may call at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Marinette from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30th. Rev. James Wendt will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery.
