Eileen Margaret Amore
Eileen Margaret Amore, 83, of Oconto, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, at Bellin Health Oconto Hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Lena, to the late John and Mary (Rudolph) Schaefer.
She married Douglas J. Amore on May 21, 1966 and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2011. The couple operated Amore's Towing until his death in 2011. She enjoyed playing golf and having coffee with the girls.
She is survived by a daughter, Christina (Scott) Exworthy, Oconto; a son, Craig Taubman, Magna, Utah and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lydia (John) Blahnik, Frieda (Marvin) Wittkopf, Mary (Stanley) Turek and three brothers, Walter, Harry and Ernie Schaefer.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 with Rev. Mary Zupansic officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
