Ronald Dean Henry
Ronald Dean Henry, 78, of Niagara, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 27th at his home surrounded by family.
Born Sept. 28, 1934 in Iron Mountain, son of the late Wesley and Gertrude (Truinstra) Henry, he married Jacqueline Abraham on Sept. 26, 1959 in Marinette. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged he worked for Wisconsin Public Service as a lineman until retirement in 1997.
A former resident of Marinette, the couple built a log home in Niagara in 2000 where they retired.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; four sons, Bjorn (Stacy) Henrickson of Manitowoc, Eric (Karen) Henry of Albany, Wi., Mark (Lisa) Henry of Woodruff and Mike Henry of Green Bay; a sister, Marjorie Knutson of Marinette and a brother, Wesley (Kathy) Henry of Peshtigo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean LaPlant.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Aug. 31st from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 pm at Grace Baptist Church in Kingsford. Rev. Wynne Kimbrough officiated with burial in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the Mayo Clinic, Department of Development National Correspondence Office P.O. Box 450 Albert Lea, MN 56007-9849 or the Grace Baptist Church, 1295 Pyle Dr. Kingsford, MI 49802. Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain assisted the family.
