Alvina L. Anderson, 95, of Menominee, Mich. passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, in St. Charles, Ill.
Born May 23, 1918 in Oconto, to the late Herman and Ida (Berth) Jandrey, she worked for many years as a housekeeper in the Menominee area and married Robert Anderson in Grover Sept. 21, 1940. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2006.
She was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Marinette, enjoyed being with her family, traveling, and gardening.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Anderson of Menominee; two daughters, Judy Nyquist of St. Charles, Ill. and Pamela (Mark) Grosso of Geneva, Ill; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ella Marquardt; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Anderson and Roselyn Colaric; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Compney and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Anderson, a brother and six sisters.
Family and Friends called at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church on Monday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Tim Hawthorne presiding. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee. The Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home assisted the Family.
