Gregory Allen Hanson, Jr.
Gregory Allen Hanson Jr., 37, of Marinette, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, September 1st in his apartment on Riverside Avenue.
He was born on February 8, 1976, to Gregory Allen Hanson Sr. and Theresa Hanson (Smith) in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
He came to know the Lord as his personal Savior at age 10, then at age 12 he decided that God wanted him to be an apologist-defender of the faith. He spent his life studying various religions and cults. He was a public speaker and author.
He married his wife, Jennifer Marie Harley, October 24, 1997. Together they spent many years in ministry on the west coast.
In late 2006, he was taken ill with Addison's Disease and he battled with it for 7 years until his body could no longer keep up with his vibrant spirit.
He had a black belt in martial arts, loved jazz music, making hot salsa, and collecting books. His greatest love was sharing the gospel of salvation by faith alone in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister Brenda Lee Hanson. He is survived by his love, Jennifer Harley-Hanson, his daughter Harmony, and his son Daniel.
Also surviving are his mother, Theresa Smith, and stepfather Larry Smith, sisters Tina and Christine, stepsisters, Suzette and Christine, and a stepbrother Doug, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family held a private viewing at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home and burial services were held at Langlade Cemetery, on Friday, September 6th, at 6:00 p.m.
His favorite verse was Jude 3 "....contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."
