Fall Festival Plan Meet for Sept. 18
Businesses, community groups and volunteers wishing to participate in the 5th annual Wausaukee Fall Festival are invited to attend and important planning meeting to be held at Newinghams Supper Club Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. Reservations to Sharon at Northwoods Traditions, 715-856-5251 are appreciated.
Decorating of Main Street for the Fall Festival is planned for Sunday, Sept. 29 starting at 8:30 a.m. for any volunteers who would like to participate. Also, businesses are encouraged to decorate and participate in the Business Decorating Contest. Last years winner of the traveling trophy was Newinghams Supper Club.
Room is still available for crafters and vendors to take part in the Fall Festival which will be held Saturday, Oct. 5. The event will be held on Main St./Hwy. 141. Crafters and vendors are invited to exhibit for a donation of $20 per 10x10 space. Spaces are designated on a first come, first serve basis. For more information call Sharon at 715-927-7471.
The Fall Festival is a family oriented event which will again include music by Daze 2 Nights and Top Hat, free horse drawn wagon rides, free face painting and bouncy houses for kids. There will also be a 5K Run/Walk this year sponsored by the Wausaukee Ranger Basketball, Football, Baseball and Leos. Information on the 5K can be found at www.wausaukee.com under the calendar section. Last year there were over 150 vendors and crafters who participated and this year is shaping up to be even better.
