THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Multiple Wisconsin Public Service crews were called in to repair downed power lines and broken poles after a brief storm went through Peshtigo Saturday afternoon. Heavy rain and straight line wind uprooted trees causing them to fall onto power lines. The storm rumbled through at approximately 3:30 p.m. during the Historical Day events in Badger Park. The worst hit areas were on Peshtigo's east side in the Rainbow sub-division. The City of Peshtigo Fire Dept. was called at 3:45 p.m. to assist citizens and help block streets by the downed lines. Power was restored to the area around 10 p.m. There were no injuries reported.
