Marian Dorothy Kohrt
Marian Dorothy Kohrt, 93, of Menominee, passed away on Tuesday, Sept.17,
Born on Dec. 19, 1919 in Marinette to the late Edgar and Clara Mae (Rondeau) Hudon, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1938. She married William Kohrt on Jan. 27, 1945, and the couple celebrated 68 years together.
A member of Resurrection Church in Menominee, VFW Auxiliary and the BAMC Auxiliary, she enjoyed bowling, traveling, camping, playing piano, going to baseball, attending high school football games, watching the Green Bay Packers, especially her favorite player, Donald Driver and loved to sing.
She is survived by her husband, William of Menominee; a daughter Gaye (Jim) Vlies of Green Bay; five sons, Tom (Betty) Kohrt, Steve (Julie) Kohrt and Dave (Karen) Kohrt, all of Menominee, Mike (Maxie) Kohrt of Front Royal, Va. and William (Chris) Kohrt of Freedom; 12 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and other family members and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will take place at the Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 4 p.m. until time of Vigil prayer service at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of her soul on Monday, Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. McQuesten will preside and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee. A memorial fund has been established in her name and any expressions of sympathy and kindness may be directed to a family member.
