Clara M. Johnson, 79, of Stephenson, Mich., passed away Monday, Sept. 30 at Rennes Health Center-West.
Born on July 7, 1934 in Madisonville, Ky. to the late Arthur and Minnie (Bowers) Ezell, she married William Johnson on March 5, 1954 in Jackson, Tenn. She worked as a receptionist for Solander Electric for 17 years and then was employed at Emerson Electric for 17 years, retiring in 1996.
She enjoyed cooking, camping, shopping and Tuesday bus trips to the casino. Above all else, spending time with family is what she enjoyed most. She was a member of the Daggett Moravian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of Stephenson; a daughter, Cindy (Matt) Bickel of Peshtigo; a son, Mike (Martha) of Stephenson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Donna (Mike) Graves, Sheila (Carroll) Wiles and Libby (Bill) Butler and a brother, Greg (Missy) Ezell.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Johnson; step father, Manuel Gunn and two brothers, Art and Frank Ezell.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 3 after 3 p.m. until time of Funeral service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Gary Straughan officiating. Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct 4.
