THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Darlene Kamka, 68, of Pulaski passed away Monday, Sept. 30.
Born on Jan. 19, 1945 in Oconto to the late Raymond and Doris (Hanes) Frewerd sr., she graduated from Oconto High School in 1963 and was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Grover. She worked at Cruisers Yachts for many years, enjoyed camping and country music festivals.
Survivors include her husband, Roger; a daughter Sherrie (Scott Edgerton) Strabel; a step-son Kevin (Maureen) Kamp; three grandsons; five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Diane Dansereau; five brothers, Gary (Virginia) Freward, Raymond (Linda) Frewerd jr., Richard Frewerd, Mike Frewerd and Marc (Jennifer) Frewerd; two brothers-in-law Vilas (Sharon) Kamka and Jerry Deschaine; a sister-in-law Jan (Bruce) Netzer; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two infant children, John Raymond and Marie; a brother Larry; a son-in-law, Darrel Strabel; a step-daughter, Nicole Reiter Kamka; two step-sons, Mark and Troy Kamka; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Deschaine and father and mother-in-law, William and Martha Kamka.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at noon on Saturday, Oct. 5 at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church, Grover. Pastor Charles Learman will officiate. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto is assisting the family.
