Lauerman Store Topic at Loomis
The Loomis Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Town of Lake Hall. Following the business meeting, Marinette native, Michael Leannah of Marinette, will present a program on the Lauerman Brothers Store.
Leannah, a school teacher, has written a book entitled, Something for Everyone. The book is filled with accounts of the store and the people who worked there. He worked at Lauermans as a teenager and his parents, as well as his brothers and sisters, worked there.
The lunch will be provided by Peggy Dzurick and Linda Blickhahn. Visitors are welcome to attend.
