Cub Scouts Food Collection in Crivitz

Cub Scout Pack 4058 of Crivitz will deliver food collection bags to homes in the Village of Crivitz on Friday, Oct. 11th and will return to pick up donations the morning of Saturday, Oct. 19th. Residents are to have non-perishable food donations ready by 10 am for pick up
All donations will be taken to the Crivitz Area Food Pantry at 305 Hall Ave., where the scouts help sort and shelve the items. The food pantry is open for food distribution on the first and third Wednesdays of the each month from 10 am to noon, with an evening distribution on the first Wednesday of the month from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.
Door to door scouting for food drive began in 1987 as a way of combating area hunger. It is the largest single day food collection program in Wisconsin and one of the largest food drives by one organization in the nation. Nationwide nearly 500,000 items are collected annually.
