Carol M. Kanne
Carol M. Kanne, 86, of Peshtigo, died Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette.
Born Dec. 18, 1926 on the family farm in Beaver Creek, Minn., the daughter of Clifford and Maude (Bagley) Hellie, she moved to Beloit in 1952 and then to Peshtigo in 1999. She married Corwin C. Kanne at Blooming Prairie, MN, on May 15, 1948 and they were married for 53 years until his death in 2001. She worked for several years as the bookkeeper/assistant to her husband, selling mobile homes for Beloit Mobile Home Park.
She is survived by a daughter, Marcia Kanne, of Peshtigo; a brother, Robert (Diane) Hellie, of Seattle, Wa.; a brother-in-law, Harold (Faye) Kanne, of Waseca, Minn.; five nieces; three nephews; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Kanne; two sisters, Muriel Polreis and Faye Bieber; one nephew and one niece.
Friends called on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1 p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. at Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home and Crematorium. Burial was on Monday, Oct. 21 at Milton Lawns Cemetery.
