Charles R. Charlie Storey, 83, formerly of Peshtigo, passed away at his daughters home in Sobieski on Friday, Oct. 25.
The son of Wilbur and Lillian (Peterson) Storey Sr., he was born Jan. 19, 1930 in Marinette and graduated from Peshtigo High School. He served in the Merchant Marines. In 1952 he married the love of his life, Dawnine Fehrman and together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage until her passing in 1999. He worked at Badger Paper Mills for 41 1/2 years.
He was proud of his two children, Brad and Kerry, had a love for dogs, enjoyed going to old car shows and will be missed by family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Brad Storey, of Oshkosh; a daughter, Kerry (Bernie) Pranica, of Sobieski; a granddaughter; a sister, Lucile Exworthy; a brother, Wilbur Storey Jr.; a special friend, Bea; pal, Orville and other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31 at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto. Father Jack Harper will officiate with Military Rites performed by the Jones-Modrow-Young post #74, Oconto American Legion.
