Gregory A. Zaidel
Gregory Allen Zaidel, 54, of Bethlehem, Pa., passed away suddenly Thursday, Oct. 17.
Born in Iron Mountain, Mi. on Jan. 16, 1959, he grew up in Niagara and graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1984 with a BS in Chemistry and Business Administration.
He was a marketing executive, working in the Pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. His daughter was his pride and joy but he also loved animals, especially his beloved German Shepherd, Maggie. A natural athlete, he loved to play tennis, baseball, football and was an avid equestrian, spending many memorable summers riding with his daughter. He enjoyed organizing parties, for the family, preparing gourmet meals, baking for the holidays and especially enjoyed the Fall season.
He is survived by a daughter, Rachael Anne Zaidel, of Whitinsville, Mass.; his mother, Lorraine (Piatti) Zaidel, of Niagara; a sister, Roxanne (Glen) Larsen, of Niagara; two nieces; a nephew and his former wife, Kimberly Anne (Putnam) Zaidel.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, John Joseph Zaidel and his father, John Joseph Zaidel.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. in St. Patricks Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville. Burial will be by his son in Riverside Cemetery, Grafton. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Rachael Zaidel Account, c/o Webster First Credit Union, 1298 Providence Rd., Whitinsville, MA 01588. Jackman Funeral Home, Whitinsville, Mass., is assisting the family with arrangements.
