William J. Schmitz
William J. Schmitz, 66, Crivitz resident, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14 at Rennes Health Care Center in Peshtigo.
Born to the late William and Elizabeth (Holz) Schmitz April 28, 1947 in Marinette, he served in the Army in Danang Vietnam. He married Cheryl Dionne in Marinette and she preceded him in death in 2001. He was employed by K S Kolbenschmidt US Inc. for 37 years.
He enjoyed the outdoors, his cars, animals and loved being with family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Jason, of Crivitz and Joshua, of Marinette; six sisters, Dorothy Dudkiewicz, of Crivitz, Joyce (Dick) Ledvina, of Wausaukee, Sharon Edlebeck, of Wausaukee, Jo Ann (Dewey) Spencer, of Green Bay, Janet Schmitz, of Crivitz and Diane Schmitz, of Abrams and a brother, Steven Schmitz, of Middle Inlet.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Billie Jo and a brother, Ernest Schmitz.
Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 4 p.m. until time of funeral services at 6 p.m. The American Legion Post of Loomis provided Military Rites.
