THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Scott Rysewyk, 54, of Rainbow, Ca., passed away there Nov. 16 after a long battle with cancer.
Born to Peter and Lorraine Rysewyk Jan. 31, 1959 in Marinette, he was raised on a dairy farm near Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1977. He moved to Texas shortly after graduation and then to California in 1989. He started his own business and was self employed until his death. He loved being outside where he spent most of his time and his hobby was planting trees and all types of landscaping. His unyielding faith carried him through all the tough times.
He is survived by a daughter, April; a sister, Shirley (Steve); two brothers, Daniel (Julia) and Terry (Diana) and his mother, Lorraine.
He was preceded in death by his father, Peter and two brothers, Robert and Todd.
Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Coleman. Father Celestine Byekwaso will officiate with burial at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Coleman. There will be a luncheon held at the church immediately following. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman is assisting the family with arrangements.
