Clara M. Maloney
Clara M. Maloney, 89, of Menominee passed away on Friday, Nov. 29 at Menominee Care Center.
Born April 21, 1924 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kovarik) Velich in Menominee, she graduated from Menominee High School. On Jan.13, 1944, she married Joseph E. Maloney in Menominee and he preceded her in death on Oct.10, 1999. She worked as a cashier for Bills IGA for 30 years and was a member of Resurrection Parish. She enjoyed cleaning her home and riding her bike all over until going to the nursing home.
She is survived by a son, Robert (Wanda) Maloney, of Menominee; a daughter, Dawn Neville, of Madison, Tenn.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Koutnik, Rose Oreshoski and Mary Sieminski and a brother, Joseph Velich.
Friends called at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home in Menominee on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 4 p.m. until time of funeral services at 6 p.m. Deacon Vince Beckley officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
