THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Helen Ann Werner, age 74, of Amberg Township, passed away at home on Friday December 6, 2013.
She was born in Norway, Michigan on August 12, 1939; daughter of Mainard and Hilma (Johnson) Nutt. Helen graduated from Amberg High School and was united in marriage to Russell Werner the Saturday after graduation, June 1, 1957.
Helen was a feisty woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking when she was able to and knitting. She will be missed by those who knew her.
Helen is survived by her husband, Russell Grandpa; three children: Kathy Werner, Russell (special friend, Nikki Thames) Werner, and Frank (Kathy) Werner; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Whitman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation was held at 10 a.m. until noon on Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Messar-Roubal Funeral Home in Wausaukee.
