Lions To Host Area Senior Citizens
The Goodman-Armstrong Creek Lions Club will sponsor its annual meal for area senior citizens at the Goodman Community Center on Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. With no charge to the senior, invitations have been mailed to those who live in the area.
Lee Schauman, Lions secretary in charge of the count and mail, request the invitation be returned by Dec. 13 so that the Lions can plan for the number who will attend.
The invitation further reads: "If you know of any senior citizens from the towns of Goodman and Armstrong Creek who didn't receive an invitation, please invite them, and add the number to the acceptance mailing.
This event by the Lions is one of their service projects of long-standing and which honors the elderly citizens of the two towns. In addition, Club members will deliver meals to those unable to attend but would like the turkey and the dressing and accompanying sides. Be sure to include the home address when responding to the invitation.
