Amanda K Sutrick, 34, Town of Chase, passed away Wednesday night, Dec. 11 due to natural causes.
Born Jan. 5, 1979 to Keith and Linda (Rice) Sexton, she grew up in Oconto Falls where she attended public schools and graduated in 1998. She graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a teaching degree in 2003. On May 15, 2004 she married Nathan Sutrick in Oconto Falls and the couple made their home in the Town of Chase.
Amanda taught at Bayport High School before becoming a teacher and Pom Pom Squad Coach at Pulaski High School. In 2007, she returned to Bayport High School where she enjoyed teaching family and consumer education. She was a member of St. Edward & Isidore Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Nathan Sutrick; two sons, Gavin, age 5 years and Griffin, age 5 days, all of the Town of Chase; her mother, Linda (Larry) Pelishek, Abrams; her father, Keith Sexton, Pensaukee; maternal grandfather, Maynard Rice, Oconto Falls; Wally and Cleo Pelishek, Lena; half-brothers, Phillip and David Sexton; a step-sister, Kim Alswede; her in-laws, Jim and Sandy Sutrick, Abrams; a sister-in-law, Shannon (Tim) Konitzer, Abrams; a brother-in-law, Justin Buck (Cigi) Sutrick, Little Suamico; godparents, Pam and Larry Lemorande and Cynthia Brokiewicz; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, her students and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carol Rice and her paternal grandparents, LaVerne and Earl Sexton.
Visitation was held at St. Edward & Isidore Catholic Church, Green Bay from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16. Visitation continued at the church on Tuesday, Dec. 17 after 9 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Fr. Dave Hoffman officiated followed by burial in the church cemetery. Jones Funeral Service of Oconto Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
