Carolyn L. Jensen
Carolyn L. Mikki Jensen, 72, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 15 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Born March 5, 1941 in Marinette to John and Beatrice (Paulson) Olson, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1959 and was a cheerleader and championship speed skater throughout her high school years. She attended Green Bay School of Cosmetology and then married her high school sweetheart, Peter F. Jensen, on March 5, 1960. They were married for over 53 years.
She worked for several years as a Revlon cosmetic consultant at the former Prange Store in Marinette, but for much of her life, she remained home to care for her family while devoting time to providing home assistance to elderly friends. She will be remembered as a sports fan, and a follower of local sporting events, Brewers baseball and the Packers.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; three children, Todd (Joan) Jensen, of Wausaukee, Tori (Tom) Hutchinson, of Marinette and Tim (Teresa) Jensen, of Watertown; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Peta (Bob) Gokey, of Dallas, Tx. and five sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Allen) Miller, Rosie (Richard) Glenn, Helen (Eugene) Ahrens, Faye (Jon) Heraly and Kim (Richard) Rush.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette from 2 p.m. until time of funeral services at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19. Rev. Keith Kolstad of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery.
