Mary Lou Wickman, 69, Oconto Falls, formerly of Abrams, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 17 at Meadowlands Assisted Living.
Born Jan. 8, 1944 in Manitowoc to Richard and Mary Ann (Stradal) Rhode, she grew up and attended school there, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1962. On Sept. 26, 1964, she married Willy Wickman at St. Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc and the couple moved to the Abrams area in 1968.
A member of St. Louis Catholic Church, she was active in the Friends of Abrams and was a strong supporter of the Abrams-Oconto Falls Youth Wrestling programs. She was employed at Coleman Products for over 15 years.
She is survived by two sons, Bill (Betsy) Wickman, Wausaukee and Bob (Susan) Wickman, Spring Green; six grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Zarn, Florida and Ann Rhode, Manitowoc; a brother, Dave (Donna) Rhode, North Carolina and a niece, of Boston, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation was held after 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Joel Sember officiating. Entombment was held at Knollwood Memorial Park in Manitowoc. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
