Gary N. Trapper Schultz, 68, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 28 at his home.
Born Aug. 9, 1945 in Elkhorn to Henry and Myrtle Schultz, he spent his early life on the family farm in the Stratford area where he attended school. He married the former Patricia J. Cline in Edgar on April 24, 1965 and they resided in the Wausau area before moving to Marinette. He was a small engine mechanic in Wausau and then locally at Midway DX and J & D Rental. He later was employed by Waupaca Foundry until his retirement.
He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the joy of his life. Over the years he was a willing helper to many and enjoyed working in his flowers in the yard and in his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; a daughter, Traci (Mike) Olson, of Marinette; six grandchildren; many other special children in the Olson home and special nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer in 2003; two brothers and two sisters.
Friends called at Zion Lutheran Church in Marinette on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Rev. Keith Kolstad officiated with entombment in Forest Home Mausoleum.
