Albin S. Baranczyk
Albin Al Hank S. Baranczyk, 91, of Lena passed away Friday, Jan. 10 at Sharpe Care, Oconto Falls.
Born to Anton and Helen (Tyczkowski) Baranczyk May 2, 1922 in Hofa Park, Wi., he served three years in the United States Army Air Corps at St. Joseph, Mo. He married Carolyn Babiarz Oct. 2, 1943 and she preceded him in death after 62 years of marriage on Oct. 13, 2005.
He enjoyed hunting, playing piano accordian, polka music and playing cards with family and friends. He was a member of St. Anne Church, Lena.
He is survived by his children, Jacqueline and James Diermeier, Green Bay, Donald (friend Ann), Oshkosh, Carol Mathews, Las Vegas, James and Betty, Cheryl and Carl Rowell, Mary and Todd Demmith and Patrick, all of Lena, Wayne and Nancy, Loveland, Co., Deryl and Barb, Neenah, Myron and Carey, Lake In The Hills, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sophie Laskowski and Celia Spakowicz; two brothers, Steve Baranczyk and an infant brother and a great-grandson, Seth Philhower.
Relatives and friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Lena on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, Jan. 22 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Lena from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Fr. Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Military rites will be presented after Mass by the Lena American Legion. He will be buried at St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
