Gerald W. Beecher, 71, of DePere passed away after a battle with cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Jack and Engrid Meng Unity Hospice, DePere.
Born on April 15, 1942 in Milwaukee, son of the late Harold and Helen (Podoll) Beecher, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1960. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and worked in various retail sales management positions in Milwaukee and Green Bay for most of his career. He later retired from sales at Master Foods and then was employed part time at Ashwaubenon Lanes. A member of several national and local Humane Societies, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Randall (Brenda) Beecher, of Two Rivers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Susan C. Beecher.
Cremation took place with no visitation or memorial service held per his request. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
