John Gordon Fontaine
John Gordon Fontaine, 57, Crivitz, formerly of Green Bay passed away Jan. 12 at an Iron Mountain, Mi. hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Born June 8, 1956 in Waukegan, Ill., the son of Virginia (Posik) and the late Gordon Raphael Fontaine, he served in the United States Navy from 1975 to 1979 and earned the National Defense Service Medal.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, betting on football games and cooking and baking for friends and family.
He is survived by two sisters, Toni (Joseph) Mercurio, Cohasset, Ma. and Barb Fontaine, Green Bay; mother, Virginia Fontaine, Green Bay; three nephews; a niece; a great nephew; a great niece; numerous cousins and extended family; special friends, Dale and Tina, Pam and Steve, Carol, Curt, Diane and Michael; visiting nurse, Heidi and other friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and an aunt, Pauline Fontaine.
Visitation was held at Malcore Funeral Home-East, Green Bay on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. A Memorial Service followed at 6 p.m. with Pastor Kim Sechler officiating.
