Cheryl Anne (Anderson) Sanicki, 61, of LAnse, Mi., passed away Monday, Jan. 13 at Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming, Mi.
Born June 16, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nv., daughter of Donald A. and Barbara A. (Kunick) Anderson, she graduated from Kingsford High School, in 1970. She then attended Patricia Stevens Modeling School in Chicago and worked as a telephone operator for AT&T in Iron Mountain.
An active member in the Jaycees, she loved doing ceramics and going to family functions. She will be remembered for being upbeat and smiling.
Surviving are her sons, Jamie Sanicki, of Stanley, Mark (Amanda) Sanicki and David (Nikki) Sanicki, of Niagara; a grandson; three granddaughters; mother, Barbara Anderson, of LAnse; grandmother, Florence Kunick, of Baraga; brothers, Dennis (Debbie) Anderson, of Alston and Scott Anderson of LAnse; sister-in-law Renee Anderson Nix, of Niagara; brother-in-law Ron Thompson, of Baraga; many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father, Donald Anderson; a sister, Lori (Anderson) Bal and brothers, Donald and Steve Anderson.
Visitation was held at noon followed by a Memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Jacobson Funeral Home in LAnse. with Rev. Judy Mattson officiating. A luncheon followed at Baraga Housing Community Room in Baraga. The Jacobson Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
