THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Pledge Paces For Joey Pickett
A walkathon will be held Sunday, Feb. 9 in support of Joey Pickett, a fourth grader at the Crivitz School who has cancer. It will take place at the Crivitz Community Center from 1pm-3 pm. Pledge sheets and envelopes are available at the CYCC, Crivitz Pharmacy, Crivitz Elementary School, and Crivitz High School. The event is free to the public, and each participant will receive a gift for taking part.
All money raised will be donated to the Pickett family to help offset medical bills for Joey. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges and donations for laps taken, or amount of time they will walk/run.
This walkathon is replacing the 2014 Wolverine 5K Walk/Run. There will be snacks and fun activities throughout the two hour event. Participants should have a change of shoes to wear on the track during the walk. If questions, contact Missy Gruszynski at 715-927-0637 or Renee Oastler at 715-927-8555.
