THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Donald Bieber, 71, of Iron River, Mi., formerly of Coleman, passed away Monday, Feb. 3 at home.
Born Nov. 5, 1942 in the Town of Lena, son of the late Ferris and Elizabeth Bieber, of Pound, he worked as a roofer and factory worker in the Milwaukee and Pound areas. In 1961, he married Frances Crici of Milwaukee and started his own roofing and siding business known as D&R Roofing. He turned the business over to his son in 1994 and moved to Iron River.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Frances; three sons, Ferris, Iron River, William (Lori) Bieber, Amberg and Richard (Heidi) Bieber, Oak Creek; four daughters, Debra Baginski, Milwaukee; Shana (Aaron) Howarth, Middle Inlet; Donna Fuller, Crivitz and Megan Bieber, Wausaukee; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Corolla (Jerry) Hunt, Oregon and Carol Anderson, Milwaukee and a sister-in-law, Jane Petchak, Coleman.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth.
Private services were held at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman.
